X-Shot Stealth Review

The X-shot series is another non-Nerf blaster set. What makes them different, however, is that they have a water gun built into a Nerf-like dart blaster. They are (as you can see above) green and black, and use black darts with yellow suction tips. Now I'll proceed to review this particular blaster, the X-Shot Stealth.

It is a single shot and comes with 6 darts. It holds one in the barrel, and 4 in dart holders, leaving one spare. The water is held in a tiny banana mag box, and both the darts and the water are fired via the one trigger. The water gun is a squirt pistol, nothing more.

The handle is very comfortable, with contours to fit fingers. The entire shell is quite rounded, and I like it that way.

The banana mag for the squirt gun is quite small, and doesn't hold much water. The water gun feels like a last-minute decision to me, if you know what I mean.

The cocking mechanism is just like that of an NF's or Element's and is comfortable and easy to use.

Instead of an air restrictor to protect the plunger, there is a second small spring inside to cushion the plunger.
The plunger draw is very short, being about one inch (2.5cm). I thought this would be pathetic, but I was wrong (luckily).

With initial shots with the darts provided, I was getting a consistent 10-12m range. This is impressive, being on par (roughly) with an NF. The squirt gun was getting around 5m, which isn't too bad. Also, the darts were travelling in an extremely straight line.

The only criticism I have is a lack of an iron sight. There is a tactical rail, but Nerf accessories don't fit and the end is blocked by a nice curved part at the front.

All in all, this is awesome, especially for the price. This was $12, and the NF is around $10 as well. I highly recommend this.
The X-Shot Stealth has a reasonably strong spring and a decently sized plunger tube making it a good candidate for basic mods, the same as a Nitefinder. It's a good alternative to the Nitefinder if you're looking for a single shot pistol to mod, but of course Elite blasters get superior ranges stock.

Pros:
Power and accuracy are on par with average NFs, high novelty factor due to double function, has 4 dart capacity (quite high for a single shot), relatively cheap
Cons:
Water gun is terrible, included darts are not the best quality, plunger rod is quite easy to snap, generic single shot blaster cons

Power: 6/7
Accuracy: 5/5
Value for Money: 4.5/5
Usefulness: 4.5/5
Rate of fire: 1/5
Overall: 3.86/5

Personal Rating: 3.5/5 - good alternative to the NF, but I prefer NFs.

Looks wierd, fires well. Great alternative.

Pic credit goes to UT.

EDIT: The plunger rod on my Stealth broke, so I had to fix it. Luckily, it's not something hot glue and a long nail can't fix. :)

Usage is same as any single shot. Tips here
